Board Certification with the European Board of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (EBOT), Specialist Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon, King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, Bermuda.

Dr Oleksak graduated as a medical practitioner in South Africa in 1987. He completed his surgical pre- fellowship training in the UK, and obtained his fellowships (FRCS) at Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1996. He returned to South Africa to specialise in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Cape Town. He acquired the South African College of Medicine Fellowship FCS(SA)Orth in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in 2000.

He spent two years in Sheffield, UK completing two fellowships in Adult and Paediatric Limb Reconstruction and Ilizarov Surgery. He spent further time in Lecco, Italy and Kurgan in Siberia to further his training in the Ilizarov Method.

He began his work in Bermuda in 2003 and he specialises in the treatment of patients with Complex trauma, Limb reconstruction and general Orthopaedic surgery.
